About HPLNG

HPCL LNG Limited (HPLNG) formerly known as HPCL Shapoorji Energy Private Limited (HSEPL), was incorporated as 50:50 joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and SP Ports Private Limited (SPPPL) on 15th October 2013. The Company became a 100% subsidiary of HPCL on 30th March 2021, after acquisition of 50% stake by HPCL from SPPPL. Pursuant to change in Corporate Structure, name of the Company was changed to HPCL LNG Limited, effective 10th September 2021.

HPLNG, is formed for development, construction and operation of Greenfield LNG Terminal with all associated facilities for receipt, unloading, storage and regasification of LNG and supply of regasified LNG to the gas grid. The LNG Terminal will be within the boundary of all-weather direct berthing Chhara Port located at Chhara Village, Kodinar, Gir-Somnath, Gujarat.

Considering the projected demand for Natural Gas in the country and growth potential for the Natural Gas sector, the Chhara LNG Terminal will provide significant upside in enhancing natural gas chain in the country. The Terminal will also contribute in achieving Government of India’s vision of increasing share of Natural Gas share in India’s Energy mix from 6% to 15% by 2030.

The Company is having Registered Office at Ahmedabad, Gujarat and Corporate Office at Mumbai, Maharashtra.
